FAQs

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of making changes and improvements both on and off your website to help it rank higher on search engines organically. The main goal of SEO work is to improve your website’s relevance and trustworthiness in the eyes of search engines, and it is a long-term, ongoing process.

There will be lots of metrics for you to explore in your dashboard, but the key metric you’ll see is the current ranking of your target keywords on Google. These rankings will show as an average on your dashboard, but you will also be able to explore the rankings of each individual keyword.

The dashboard refreshes every 24 hours, so you’ll be able to see the progress of your SEO campaign in real time!

One of the most important pieces of SEO involves having original content on your website that matches your services and target keywords. Each month, we will update and add content on your website as well as ensure the back-end code of your website is formatted correctly. These changes, also known as onsite SEO work, will help build your website relevance in the eyes of Google and boost the rankings of your target keywords.

Offsite SEO work is an important part of building trust in the eyes of Google. Each month, we will create and monitor online local business listings for your business. By having your business listed in online directories and other sites, search engines will know that you are a trustworthy business and ultimately boost the rankings of your target keywords.

Each month, your CSM will send you two items for approval:

  1. Your SEO strategy for the upcoming month. This will detail the target keywords and parts of your website that we will be focusing on updating in the given month. Once this strategy is approved, you will receive…
  2. Your updated content for the month. This content will be optimized to improve your website's search engine visibility, drive more organic traffic, and ultimately, boost your online presence. Once the content is approved, it will be added to your website.

SEO is a long-term process that includes optimizing your website and giving Google time to recognize the relevance and trustworthiness of it. Because of this, you can expect to see rankings increase after about six to nine months of SEO work. The timeline of results also depends on the competition in your industry and location.
